Acrokeratosis verruciformis of Hopf is often mistakenly diagnosed as flat warts. However, appropriately  collected anamnesis suggests correct diagnosis of genodermatosis.  Cosmetic results should be taken into account if the choice of treatment is destruction of the skin lesion.
