Allergic contact glossitis due to mistaken multiple topical applications of diclofenac sodium 1% gel. (Dicloren gel).

Diclofenac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, is a phenylacetic-derivative that is generally well tolerated, although adverse reactions have been reported. Diclofenac sodium is known to cause delayed hypersensitivity following its topical or systemic use. Bacterial and yeast (candida) tongue culture  tests were negative.
